No claims discount protection can be added to our Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire & Theft policies.

What is no claims discount protection? 

Car accidents can be costly enough without losing your no claims discount protection.

Having a no claims discount protection could give you up to 60% off your insurance policy subject to minimum premium. So why not protect it!

If you add 123.ie's no claims discount protection to your policy, you can make one claim in a three-year period, safe in the knowledge that your discount is protected.

How do I add no claims discount protection to my policy?

Our no claims discount protection can be added as an additional extra to your Car insurance policy during purchase (online or with one of our agents over the phone). 

Do I have no claims discount protection on my policy? 

The no claims discount protection is only included in your policy if you decided to purchase it when you bought your policy.  Please check your Schedule to see if this cover applies. 

What is covered in no claims discount protection? 

With no claims discount protection, you may incur one claim of any amount in a consecutive three year period without affecting your no claim discount. 

a) If you do not make a claim under this policy your no claims discount will increase by 1 stage at the end of each renewal period (Up to a maximum stage 6 on the scale).

b) If you make one claim within a 3 year period, your no claims discount will not be affected in any way.

c) if you make a second claim within the same 3 year period, we will reduce your no claims discount by 3 stages.

Can your no claims discount be transferred to another driver? 

No, your entitlement to no claims discount cannot be transferred to any other person.
