123.ie was today announced as the official kit sponsor to Athletics Ireland that will see the ‘Give better a try’ Irish insurance company further invest in a sport that is riding the crest of a wave following a host of outstanding performances both nationally and internationally in recent months.
The deal will see 123.ie offer additional support the current generation of Irish Athletics stars, while also backing the future stars of the sport as they progress through Athletics Ireland’s performance pathway programmes. 123.ie already directly sponsor a number of Irish athletics stars and this new kit sponsorship will further highlight their commitment to promoting the sport from grassroots right up to those medal-winning-stars.
Speaking about the new sponsorship, Head of Marketing and Customer Communications at 123.ie, Elaine Knowles said: “We are delighted to double down on our sponsorship of athletics in Ireland by becoming the new international kit sponsor. Just last weekend at the National Indoor Championships we saw the incredible talent we have in the country. We are proud to support our best as they represent us on the international stage. Equally we are very proud to support other initiatives from the grass-roots up, especially Athletics Ireland summer camps. Camps like these help to foster the talent that will eventually line out in our international kit.”
The new partnership will see 123.ie become the international kit sponsor of Irish Athletics until the 31st of December 2025. It will see the 123.ie logo included on the senior international kit at European and World Championship events. It will further add to 123.ie’s backing of Irish athletics which includes:
• Title sponsorship of 40 Athletics Ireland National Championships (Juvenile, U20, U23, Senior, Masters, Schools)
• Title Sponsorship of National Athletics Awards
• Title Sponsor of Athletics Summer Camps
• Title Sponsor of Athletics Ireland led Family mile events, and more ‘to-be-announced’ participation initiatives
