What is policy suspension?
Policy suspension allows you to temporarily reduce your car insurance coverage to "Laid Up Fire & Theft" when your vehicle is not in use, such as during extended travel.
This limited cover protects against fire, theft, or attempted theft while your car is off public roads. Suspensions must last at least 28 days, and upon reinstatement, you'll receive a 75% premium refund for the suspension period.
Note that suspension isn't available for 123GO policies.

I have purchased a UK registered car. Can I transfer my insurance?
Yes, you can transfer insurance to your new UK-registered car easily through My123. Just remember, once the car is re-registered in Ireland, let us know immediately.

I am selling / scrapping my car?
If you've sold or scrapped your car and bought a new one, you can easily transfer your existing Car Insurance to your new vehicle. Just let us know the details. If you're not replacing it, contact us to cancel your policy instead.

How do I change my address?
If you are changing your address, it’s important you notify us as soon as possible!
For Car and Home insurance, contact our Customer Care team on (01) 524 6029. You can also send an email to Info@123.ie. Please note that if you are moving house, you will need to cancel the current policy and set up a new policy from your new home.

If you've received your insurance certificate and disc, please destroy them. Be aware that a cancellation fee may also apply.
