Car Insurance - Payments & Direct Debits
How can I pay for my insurance?
You can pay for your 123.ie policy online or over the phone using a debit or credit card. If you'd rather spread the cost, set up a direct debit online or by phone.
Direct debit setup and management via the My123 portal is only available for Car Insurance and Home Insurance policies only. You can use it to:
- Set up a new direct debit
- Pay any arrears
- Change bank details
- Choose a preferred payment date
- For 123GO, some features (e.g. policy amendments) aren’t yet live in My123.
If you hold another product (Van, Travel, Health or Life), you’ll need to arrange direct debit or card payments by calling our Customer Care team.
For more detailed information on payment methods and managing your policy, please refer to: How can I pay for my insurance policy?
How do I pay my direct debit arrears?
If your direct debit has failed, easily settle your payment online via My123 using a
credit or debit card. Please note that we can't accept payments by cheque, bank draft, or postal order.
For further details, see How do I pay my direct debit arrears?.
How can I pay off my direct debits?
123.ie is committed to offering flexible payment solutions that fit your needs. You can pay off your remaining direct debit balance at any time during your policy, as long as at least two instalments are left.
To arrange this, contact our Customer Care team with your debit or credit card details. For a detailed guide, refer to How do I pay off my insurance direct debits?
Where can I find my payment dates and payment schedule?
At 123.ie, we send your annual payment schedule when you set up or renew your policy. It includes your bank details, payment dates, and monthly installment amounts. If any changes are made to your direct debits during the year, you'll receive an updated schedule.
Managing your payments should be hassle-free. If you have any questions about your schedule or need to make a change, contact our Customer Care team.
How do I update my direct debit details e.g. payment dates and account details?
To update your bank details or pick a new payment date, just log into your My123 account and head to the Payment tab. Make sure the account accepts direct debits and is in the name of the policyholder or their spouse/civil partner.
If your next payment is due in the next 10 days, give as much notice as you can—your changes might not apply in time.
Need step-by-step instructions? See How do I update my direct debit details?.
Can I change my policy to direct debit?
Yes, if you’ve already paid your 123.ie policy in full, you can switch to monthly direct debit. Just call our Customer Care team for Car and Home policies on 01 524 6029 with your bank account details. We’ll set up your new payment plan and refund you—minus the deposit.
