How do I change my phone number?

Updating your phone number on your 123.ie policy is quick and easy. You can do it online or by getting in touch with our team.

Update Online via My123 Portal

  • Log in to your My123 account.
  • Go to your personal details section and update your phone number.

Why has my policy been cancelled?

Your policy may be cancelled due to:

  • Your request - You initiated the cancellation.

  • Enforced Cancellation - 123.ie or RSA Insurance cancelled your policy, typically after issuing a 10-day notice.

  • Policy Nullification - Non-disclosure of essential information led to your policy being voided from the start date.

The policyholder has passed away. What do I do now?

If the policyholder passes away, please contact our Customer Care team at 01 524 6029. We'll guide you through available options, including continuing the policy or cancellation.

I am moving home. What do I need to do?

Home Insurance can't transfer between properties, so you'll need to cancel your current policy and start a new one for your new home.

Contact us on 01 524 6029 or send an email to Info@123.ie and let us know when you want it cancelled from. Keep in mind any email concerning cancellations has to come from the email address on your policy and be registered in your own name.

How do I change my address?

If you are changing your address, it’s important you notify us as soon as possible!

For Car and Home insurance, contact our Customer Care team on (01) 524 6029. You can also send an email to Info@123.ie. Please note that if you are moving house, you will need to cancel the current policy and set up a new policy from your new home.

For Travel insurance, ring our travel team directly at (01) 241 8549 or send an email to Info@123.ie.

How do I add a second person to my Home Insurance policy?

To add a second person to your Home Insurance policy, contact our Customer Care team by phone on 01 524 6029 or by email at info@123.ie to confirm eligibility. Once added, the second person becomes a joint proposer with full policy access.

How do I change my start date?

To amend your policy start date, contact our Customer Care team directly. Conditions apply, including restrictions if you've made previous changes or started trips (Travel Insurance only).

What if I want to cancel the policy?

To cancel your policy, submit your request to 123.ie by:

If you've received your insurance certificate and disc, please destroy them. Be aware that a cancellation fee may also apply.

When you cancel at any time, we’ll refund the unused portion of your premium on a pro‑rata basis, less any fixed‑expense deduction. A cancellation fee may also apply.

How do I change my name?

To update your name on your 123.ie policy, just call our Customer Care team on 01 524 6029. They'll explain what you need and help you through it. You may also be required to provide one of the following:

  • Marriage Licence

  • Updated Driving Licence

  • Passport

If you have changed your name by deed poll, please provide a copy of the deed poll confirmation. Once we’ve verified your documents, we’ll update your policy to show your new name.

Do I need to notify you of work being done on my house?

Yes, you must inform us if your home is undergoing building or renovation work, whether it remains furnished, and if anyone will live there during the works. Buildings cover reduces temporarily, with no cover for contents, liability to others, or all risks.

Once all building work is complete and the property is occupied again, you will need to contact us and we will then reinstate your full cover. We strongly advise you to call Customer Care on 01 524 6029 for further guidance on this situation.

Why does 123.ie charge fees?

Our fees cover administration costs, such as policy amendments, mid‑term changes and cancellations. You can find full details in the Terms of Business document provided in your original policy pack. You can also view the latest version in our General Terms & Conditions page.

I have requested to cancel my policy. How will I know if this has been processed?

If you haven’t received confirmation within 7 working days after requesting cancellation, please contact our Customer Care team by phone or email at:

If I don’t let my insurer know about changes could this affect my cover?

Yes, it could. Not telling your insurer about changes that affect your policy with 123.ie can lead to:

  • Your policy being cancelled
  • Being treated as if it never existed
  • A claim being refused

Always let us know about any updates, especially anything that could affect how we assess risk. It keeps your cover valid and helps avoid complications down the line.

Can I make amendments to the policy if I am not the policyholder?

Only the policyholder can amend a policy with 123.ie.
