How do I add an item to my policy?
Adding Items to Your Home Insurance Policy
It’s important to make sure your most valuable belongings are properly protected under your Home Insurance policy. Here’s how to add them to your cover with 123.ie.
How to Add an Item
Start by getting in touch with our Customer Care team by calling them at 01 524 6029 or sending an email at info@123.ie. They’ll take the details and guide you through what’s next.
Details You’ll Be Asked For
To make sure everything’s covered correctly, we’ll need a full description of the item and any identifying numbers, such as serial number, if relevant.
- For jewellery, this includes the type of metal and any gemstones.
- For electronics or bikes, we’ll need the make, model, serial number, and value.
- For all items, you’ll need to declare the current market value.
Coverage Limits and Premiums
The maximum we can insure per specified item is €10,000. Depending on the item, there may be an additional premium—our team will confirm this when you call. Some items may also have specific conditions or endorsements attached to them, which we’ll outline clearly.
When You Need to Specify an Item
Items like jewellery, laptops, and bicycles that are regularly taken outside the home should be specified individually. You’ll need to provide clear details and a declared value for each of these.
Unspecified All Risks Cover
For personal belongings worth less than €1,000 each, you can add Unspecified All Risks Cover. This gives protection for loss, theft, or damage to items taken outside your home—up to €1,000 per item.
Important Note - Certain categories are not covered under All Risks. We’ll let you know about the details once you contact us.
