Updating your phone number on your 123.ie policy is quick and easy. You can do it online or by getting in touch with our team.
Update Online via My123 Portal
- Log in to your My123 account.
- Go to your personal details section and update your phone number.

Can I cancel my trip for any reason and get all my money back?
No, 123.ie Travel Insurance only covers cancellations for specific unforeseen events, such as illness, injury, or death affecting you, your travelling companion, or a relative.
Cancellations due to change of mind, business commitments, or pre-existing medical conditions are not covered.

How do I renew online?
Renewing your 123.ie insurance policy online is simple and secure.
For Car and Home Insurance, you’ll need:
- Your policy number (starting with ‘XM’ for car or ‘XH’ for home).
- The policyholder’s surname.
- The policyholder’s date of birth.
Simply visit the 123.ie product page associated with your insurance, click on “Renew my policy”, enter your details, and follow the prompts to complete your renewal payment.
For Travel Insurance, click the renewal link in your email invitation and enter your policy details to proceed.
For Van or Health insurance renewals, call our Customer Care and renewal representatives at:

How long does it take for a claim to be settled?
The time it takes to settle a claim depends on the details of your case. Every claim is different, and some take longer than others. But you can help speed things up by:
- Giving us all the information we need when you make your claim
- Staying in touch with your claims handler
- Sending any requested documents as soon as possible

What is my Policy Excess?
Your policy excess is the initial amount you're required to pay towards any claim. Excess varies by policy type—€300 for Car Insurance, from €250 for Home Insurance, and between €0–€300 for Travel Insurance.

Is there a cooling-off period once I have bought my policy?
Yes, 123.ie provides a 14-day cooling-off period for Car, Home, Van, Health and Travel Insurance policies. This period starts either from your policy's start date or when you receive your policy documents, whichever is later.
If you cancel within this timeframe, you'll be charged only for the days covered. However, keep in mind that if a claim has been made, no refund is due.

Why has my policy been cancelled?
Your policy may be cancelled due to:

Your request - You initiated the cancellation.

Enforced Cancellation - 123.ie or RSA Insurance cancelled your policy, typically after issuing a 10-day notice.

Policy Nullification - Non-disclosure of essential information led to your policy being voided from the start date.

How can I pay for my insurance?
You can pay for your 123.ie policy online or over the phone using a debit or credit card. If you'd rather spread the cost, set up a direct debit online or by phone.
Direct debit setup and management via the My123 portal is only available for Car Insurance and Home Insurance policies only. You can use it to:
- Set up a new direct debit
- Pay any arrears
- Change bank details
- Choose a preferred payment date
- For 123GO, some features (e.g. policy amendments) aren’t yet live in My123.
If you hold another product (Van, Travel, Health or Life), you’ll need to arrange direct debit or card payments by calling our Customer Care team.

How do I pay my direct debit arrears?
If your direct debit has failed, easily settle your payment online via My123 using a
credit or debit card. Please note that we can't accept payments by cheque, bank draft, or postal order.

What if I want to cancel the policy?
To cancel your policy, submit your request to 123.ie by:

You can also mail your cancellation request via Post to - 123.ie, RSA House, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin 16, D16FC92.
If you've received your insurance certificate and disc, please destroy them. Be aware that a cancellation fee may also apply.
When you cancel at any time, we’ll refund the unused portion of your premium on a pro‑rata basis, less any fixed‑expense deduction. A cancellation fee may also apply.
