I have bought a new motor policy. What documents do you need?

After setting up your new Car Insurance policy, we’ll quickly get your documents sorted. To send your Certificate of Motor Insurance and insurance disc promptly, we require specific paperwork.

What documents must I provide?

Here’s what we typically need:

  • Proof of No Claims Bonus (NCB) or evidence of named driving experience, whichever applies.

  • Driver licences (front and back) for everyone named on your policy.

  • NCT Certificate or Tax Disc (only required in certain cases—we’ll tell you if needed).

Ensure these documents reach us within 10 days of your policy start date. Delays might lead to your policy being cancelled.

How can I submit my documents?

Choose from three easy options:

  • Upload online - Use the My123 Portal.
  • Email - motor@123.ie
  • Post - 123.ie, RSA House, Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford Road, Dundrum, Dublin 16

Remember, if you're waiting on documents, contact your previous insurer promptly to avoid delays.

What if my documents are delayed?

Documents can take around 3–5 working days to arrive by post. If concerned about timing, email us or upload online for faster processing.
