Am I covered for damage or injury caused by my pets?

If your pet causes damage to another person’s property or injures anyone, then you may be covered under the liability to others section of the policy.

The cover under this section applies only to ponies, saddle horses, domestic cats or dogs.

However, if your dog is listed as a dangerous dog and is regulated under the Control of Dogs Acts, then they must be muzzled, under effective control and easily identifiable to be covered under this section.

Please Note:

You cannot claim off your Home Insurance for

• Any damage your pet causes to your buildings or contents
• Any damage or injury your pet causes to you or members of your household
• Any damage or injury your pet causes to domestic employees
