In response to delays at the National Car Testing Service, 123.ie has been following a practical approach for impacted customers in line with the supportive measures adopted by the industry. Customers should be reassured that 123.ie will not decline cover based on a delayed NCT. In the event of a claim where a customer is awaiting an NCT, this delay will not be a factor in the acceptance of their claim. It remains a requirement for customers to maintain the roadworthiness of a vehicle and this is a key factor in the assessment of a claim. In addition, 123.ie has taken other measures including allowing longer timelines for customers to submit NCT certificates when taking out a policy or renewing a policy.
