How do I change the car on my insurance policy?

Changing your insured vehicle with 123.ie Car Insurance is a straightforward process. Whether you’re upgrading your car or replacing it, you can always follow any of these steps:

  1. Log into My123 Portal

    • Visit My123 Portal and navigate to the policy amendment section.

      • Select "Change My Car" and enter your car registration details of your new vehicle and details including:

      • Value of the car

      • Security features (alarm, immobiliser, tracking device)
      • Details of any modifications
  2. Call Customer Support

  3. Check the Premium Adjustment

    • Your premium may increase or decrease depending on the new car’s specifications.

    • If additional charges apply, they must be settled before the policy update is finalised.

  4. Coverage & Documentation Requirements

    • Depending on the car details, 123.ie may not be able to offer the same level of cover and could request additional documentation about the car.

    • If your car is UK-registered, you must provide Irish registration details before renewal. If not received by your renewal date, you may be declined a renewal offer.

  5. Receive Your Updated Documents

    • Once the change is confirmed, your revised Certificate of Motor Insurance and Insurance Disc will be issued.

    • If you haven’t received them within a few days, contact 123.ie to ensure everything is in order.
