Making a Change to my Policy

Why has my policy been cancelled?

For Car Insurance Customers

Your policy can be cancelled by your request or by enforced cancellation by 123.ie or the underwriter, RSA Insurance.

By your request:

Click here to see “How do I cancel my policy”, and click here to see “How do I know my policy has been cancelled?”

By enforced cancellation:

If your policy has been cancelled by us for any reason, we will have issued you a cancellation notice by post advising you that the policy will be cancelled in 10 days, noting the date the policy will be cancelled with effect from.

By the underwriter, RSA Insurance treating the policy as null and void:

Treating a policy as null and void policy means cancelling the policy with effect from the start date. This could be a result of non-disclosure of material facts when you purchased the policy. If your policy has been treated as null and void by us for any reason, we will have issued you a cancellation notice by post advising you that we will process the cancellation of your policy in 10 days.

If your policy has been treated as null and void you may have to declare this when taking out a new insurance policy and this may effect obtaining future insurance policies.

If you do not renew your policy with us:

Your policy will no longer be on cover from the expiry date. We will issue you a lapse letter stating that your policy was not renewed.

You can renew your policy online, or by speaking to a member of our Renewals team on 01 241 8516. Please note that your no claims discount will be in the renewal offer document that we issued to you.
